Fortified Path
A Steady Foundation. A Guided Way Forward.
Supportive housing and mental health & addiction recovery resources for veterans and former military first responders who have fallen through the cracks of the system.
Our Mission
Fortified Path exists to help veterans and former military first responders find steady ground. Trauma does not end when the uniform comes off, and healing takes more than treatment alone — it takes safety, stability, and a foundation to build from. That is why we pair supportive housing with access to mental health and substance abuse recovery resources, so the people we serve can focus fully on getting better instead of worrying about where they will sleep at night.
Who We Serve
We serve veterans and former military first responders who are unable to access adequate care through the VA — whether due to eligibility gaps, long wait times, or services that do not meet their specific needs. No one who served our country should fall through the cracks of a system that could not reach them.
What We Provide
Supportive Housing
Stable, safe housing so participants can focus on recovery without worrying about where they will sleep.
Mental Health Care
Access to trauma-informed counseling and treatment tailored to veterans and first responders.
Substance Abuse Recovery
Structured support for those working to overcome addiction and reclaim their lives.
A Gap-Filling Mission
Focused on veterans who cannot get adequate care through the VA, so no one falls through the cracks.
Why Fortified Path
Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and service members carry a weight most people never see. Fortified Path was founded so that weight does not have to be carried alone — and so that no one who spent their career protecting others is left without a place to turn when they need protecting themselves.
How We’re Funded
Fortified Path is entirely self-funded through the generosity of donors who believe that those who protected us deserve the chance to heal. We are not a government program — every dollar we raise goes directly toward housing support, treatment access, and the wraparound care our veterans need to reclaim their lives.
Apply for Help
If you are a veteran or former military first responder struggling with mental health challenges or substance abuse — especially if you have not been able to get the care you need through the VA — we want to hear from you. Fortified Path offers supportive housing alongside access to treatment resources for those who qualify.
Applications are reviewed based on fund availability. Because Fortified Path is entirely donor-funded, the number of individuals we are able to support at any given time depends on the resources currently available. We encourage everyone who may be eligible to apply — we maintain a waiting list and reach out as space and funding allow.
